HOW TO DESIGN A GREAT SWEATER

Today I have a special episode for you! In this knitting tutorial I will show you how to knit a sweater at a beginner’s level. This is a cuff-to-cuff design which will make the Cuddle Sweater an easy to knit piece.

I will explain the overall construction and how you can create your very own design: You can choose the length and width of the cuffs as well the overall fit of the sweater.

We will also look into seaming and crocheting the neck opening. A classic crewneck or a turtleneck – it’s all up to you!

I hope I could inspire you to be creative with this sweater design! We are offering this as a kit on SKEINO in 2 packs: XS-L and XL-XXL. You can also add a single skein to your order to be extra creative!

As always please leave a comment here or on Youtube!

KNITTING WITH DIFFERENT YARNS IN ONE PROJECT

I really love to think out of the box when knitting. One such thing is combining different yarns in the same knitting project. In this video I will show you a few examples of my designs where I did combine knitting yarns using the same pattern.

If you want to knit one of these designs yourself here are the links to our SKEINO website where you can find them. These knitting kits are on sale and will eventually be gone so some of these links might not work in a few weeks from now:

2-Yarn Scarf

Bertie’s Shawl

HOW TO BIND OFF THE RIGHT WAY

Today’s post is about binding off. This is such an important subject when knitting and since we have received so many questions on this I thought that it would make a great video.

I will show you how a good bind off should look like and how it shouldn’t. Also I have a few tricks for you so that you can improve your binding off skills.

We will start with 3 finished pieces. The bind off of the first one is not good and I will explain why. The other two pieces have a nice bind off. You will spot the difference right away.

In the second part I will show some tips & tricks when binding off.

As always I hope that you enjoyed this video. Please comment and ask here or on Youtube. Also feel free to request any knitting related subject that you would like me to cover in the SKEINO video blog.
